I will be using this blog to celebrate the brown skinned beauty as well as showcase the makeup that many times we as colored women do not believe we can pull off. So basically this blog will be filled with makeup ideas for the African American woman. With that being said I do welcome all colors and complexions to join in and contribute. I do not discriminate. I want to showcase all forms of beauty.

"Beauty is about perception, not about make-up. I think the beginning of all beauty is knowing and liking oneself. You can't put on make-up, or dress yourself, or do you hair with any sort of fun or joy if you're doing it from a position of correction."
Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and it may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.
Changing the way you look is fun, makeup comes off and you can be someone new every time.
MAC Makeup Artist
The most beautiful makeup of a woman is passion. But cosmetics are easier to buy.
Love of beauty is Taste. The creation of beauty is Art.
